Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 10/06/2025
Last Updated: 8 September 2026
Hashry Solutions Limited (“Hashry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a payments, commerce and loyalty platform for businesses (the “Platform”), including our website, the admin portal, point-of-sale tools, hosted checkout pages, storefronts, payment links and associated services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
1. Who This Policy Covers
The Platform involves two kinds of people, and this policy applies to both:
- Merchants are the businesses that hold a Hashry account, and the owners and staff who use it. For merchant information, Hashry decides how and why the information is used (we act as the “controller”).
- Customers are the people who buy from a merchant through a Hashry-powered checkout, storefront, payment link, point of sale or loyalty program. For customer information, the merchant decides how and why it is used and Hashry processes it on the merchant’s behalf (we act as the “processor”), except for the limited purposes described in section 3.
If you are a customer of a merchant, that merchant’s own privacy notice also applies to you. If you have a question about how a particular business uses your information, please contact that business first; we will help them respond.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information merchants provide to us
- Business name, registered address, tax identifiers and the nature of the business
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers and roles of owners and staff who use the account
- Account login credentials, or identity details from your own sign-in provider if you use one
- Bank account and payout details, and billing information for Hashry’s fees
- Product, pricing, inventory, location and store configuration you enter into the Platform
- Communications with our support and sales teams
b. Customer information we process for merchants
- Name, email address, phone number and delivery or billing addresses
- Orders, receipts, refunds, returns and reservations
- Payment details. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processing partners and are not stored by Hashry; we keep a masked reference (for example, the card type and last four digits) and, where a customer agrees to save a card, a secure token that lets the merchant charge it again
- Loyalty balances, tiers, gift card and store credit balances, and how they were earned or used
- Storefront account details where a customer creates one
c. Information collected automatically
- Device, browser and operating system information
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Pages visited, features used and time spent on the Platform
- Logs of actions taken in the admin portal, attributed to the staff member who took them
d. Information from third parties
- Payment processors and banks, for example the outcome of a payment, a dispute or a payout
- A merchant’s identity provider, where staff sign in with single sign-on
- Sales channels a merchant connects, such as social or marketplace listings
3. How We Use Information
We use merchant information to:
- Set up and operate the merchant’s account, stores, locations and staff access
- Process payments, calculate fees and make payouts
- Provide support, training and service updates
- Tell merchants about Hashry features and offers, which they can opt out of at any time
- Meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations
We use customer information, on the merchant’s instructions, to:
- Take payments, create orders and issue receipts and invoices
- Fulfil orders, print tickets, manage reservations and deliveries
- Run the merchant’s loyalty program, gift cards and store credit
- Send transactional messages on the merchant’s behalf, such as order confirmations
- Send marketing on the merchant’s behalf only where the merchant has the customer’s consent
We use information about both merchants and customers, on our own account, to:
- Keep the Platform secure and detect and prevent fraud, abuse and disputes
- Monitor performance, fix problems and improve the Platform
- Produce aggregated statistics that do not identify any person
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
We do not use customer information for our own marketing, and we do not use the Platform to serve third-party advertising.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- With the merchant. A merchant can see the information of its own customers and staff in the admin portal, and can export it
- Payment processors, card networks and banks, to authorise payments, handle refunds and disputes, and settle payouts
- Service providers who host the Platform, deliver email and messages, print documents or help us provide support, under contracts that limit what they may do with it
- Systems a merchant connects to the Platform through our API, webhooks or sales channel integrations, at the merchant’s direction
- Professional advisers, such as auditors, lawyers and insurers
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where required by law or to protect rights and safety
- A successor business, if Hashry is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to affected merchants
5. Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect their customers’ information, for publishing their own privacy notice, for obtaining any consent needed for marketing, and for responding to their customers’ requests. Hashry provides the tools to honour those requests, such as viewing, exporting, correcting and deleting customer records, and will assist merchants where we hold information they cannot act on themselves.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the Platform to:
- Keep you signed in and remember your preferences
- Protect against fraud and abuse
- Understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it
Essential cookies cannot be switched off without affecting how the Platform works. You can control other cookies through your browser settings. Merchant storefronts may set their own cookies according to the merchant’s notice.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions in the admin portal, and activity logging. Card details are handled by payment partners that meet card industry security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We keep merchant account information for as long as the account is active and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations or to resolve disputes. We keep customer information for as long as the merchant instructs us to, and delete or anonymise it when the merchant deletes it or closes their account, subject to the same legal retention periods for transaction records.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask for your information to be deleted
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
Merchants can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@hashrytech.com. Customers should contact the merchant they bought from, since that merchant controls their information; if you contact us directly we will pass your request to the merchant and help them respond.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is designed for businesses and is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and merchants must not use the Platform to do so.
11. International Transfers
Hashry is based in Jamaica and uses service providers that may store or process information in other countries. Where information is transferred outside your country, we put appropriate safeguards in place as required by applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify merchants through the admin portal or by email.
